DIRECTIONS TO THUNDERBIRD PARK FOR QRP EVENTS
All interested hams in or visiting the Phoenix area are welcome to attend and participate. The entrance to the park is located about 1 1/2 miles North of Highway 101 on 59th Avenue in Glendale, AZ. The turn into the park is beyond the housing areas and in the curve as you ascend into the hills. You will see an amphitheater on your left. Turn west into the park and take an immediate right turn. Follow this road to a stop sign at a dry creek. Turn right and follow the road as it ascends only. Do not take any descending turns. The road will end in the area where the stations are to be set up.
